"Can I Hug Your Car?"

artcarpatmckearnan03.jpg

South Haven sculptor Patrick McKearnan has been eliciting smiles and laughter from people who see this torso on top of his 1988 Pontiac Grand AM. The response from young and old has been great. Even police officers have warmed up to his art. This is the fourth sculpture that he has shown in his mobile gallery. He believes that art should be part of everyday experience, and that it should not be confined to galleries. McKearnan likes to show his art in unexpected placles -- like in Lake Michigan. Watch for more of his installations.

Mistress Moon

nightskywcenteravigilcanoek.jpg

Poets and lovers have long been fascinated by the moon in all of her phases.

Winter moon,
beauty wrapped in lace.
Look now!
The man in the moon has a woman's face.

Night Sky

Moonlightlace

I looked out my skylight and saw lacey snowflakes embracing the moon only hours before it blossomed into fullness.
