Read Ishmael
Do you know Sarah?
Well, I do and the one thing you realize when you get to know Sarah is she is very hip. She is on to "it", but not in any fashion, trendy way. Sarah is cutting edge (she's young) and she is a seeker.
Judging by her post on the Think Green blog, it seems she has found something.
Now I had never heard of this book before, but she has links to websites by readers who want to share their experience with the book and bond together and discuss it, and she and a friend (I presume) are setting up an Ishmael Yahoo! group and a club at South Haven College along the same vein.
It sounds interesting and I'm going to learn more about it.

Kristin's Photo-Genius on Arts & Entertainment
If you don't know Kristin, you actually should. At first you meet a very unassuming woman who only cares about making you comfortable, even at her own expense, with self deprecating humor and a wacky earth-mother style, but that persona beguiles what lies beneath.
Kristin hides the fact that she is a genius extremely well, but she is, the woman has macular degeneration and she continues to take brilliant photos that are featured on the front pages of the major newspapers in this area. (She writes the stories as well.) She is not from a generation that grew up with computers, perhaps not even VCRs, yet she is electronically creating and posting her articles to newspapers, and now, to her blog on shwatchdog: Arts & Entertainment.
This beautiful photo of the horse and carriage rides in downtown South Haven is just one example of the great stuff she is doing...by herself!

IT'S BAAACK! - by Vikke on Impending Doom
The "City of Character" issue is rearing its ugly head in South Haven once again. A group of area residents met recently to discuss how they might proceed to implement the program. Holland (MI), which has proclaimed itself to be a "City of Character" sent a speaker to the meeting to talk about the great benefits which derive from such designation. According to my source, she kept saying that, of course, no one could possibly object to the 49 so-called character traits, presented in sound bites, which are the basis of the program.
Now, all of this reminds me an awful lot of those folks who loudly proclaim themselves to be "religious" or "spiritual." Saying it don't make it so....
Check out the rest of Vikke's post on Impending Doom >>>
She has already added another post on the same subject, an interesting follow-up exerpt from the Detroit news.
